Hello Manhattan Paddlers,
Please Check Schedule above for two FULL MOON paddles on Saturday and Sunday.. The Current strength will be a 2-2+ so this is best for experienced paddlers or solid beginners joined in double seater kayaks. BRING headlamps ( preferably water resistant or waterproof). This is a GREAT tour that happens once a month if lucky.
FUN IN SUN tours are in in full swing so please call or register online in advance to make sure you get your space!
Also big Governors Island Tour (REPLACES “RED HOOK” Tour on Schedule) as part of NY WATER DAY festival!! Only Governors Island Tour this year! Experienced paddlers only.

Hello Paddlers,
If you are Paddle Fit and ready for one of the big ones , sign up for The Manhattan Circumnavigation this weekend. They are offered once a month on average so don’t miss out … This really is the Iconic Epic one day paddle journey in this area and if you’ve been thinking about it or it has been awhile since your last one, here’s the chance.. Remember, to bring a good lunch, snack , plenty of water, hat, sunglasses, sunblock…Its 7-8 hours and 28 miles long…
PS.. For strong intermediate paddlers and above who have already paddled substantially this season.

Where: Pier 66 Boathouse (26th St. and Hudson River)
What/Who:A Double Feature including Soft Power Health and Facetime, showing two ends of the spectrum in whitewater paddling and who does it and why. Soft Power Health is a film by Polly Green the maker of Nomads that shows an in depth profile of Dr. Jessie Stone’s non-profit medical organization Soft Power Health in Uganda and the work that it does and how it came to be. Also featuring great shots of the soon to be dammed mighty Nile River in Uganda. A must see for any water person. Facetime is World Freestyle Kayaking Champion Nick Troutman’s new movie about different paddlers and their adventures. Filled with great interviews and fantastic footage, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Nick and Jessie will be on hand to answer questions after the screenings. The double feature is also serving as a fundraiser for Soft Power Health as we are asking for a $20 donation at the door.
Why: To raise awareness about Malaria prevention in Uganda, the spectrum of motivations behind Freestyle Kayaking, and to show some awesome footage of the best f reestyle kayakers paddling in some of the most beautiful locations in the world.
