Then, this is the kayaking session for you. Kayaking is a 'full on' aerobic workout IF
you have learned how to use your whole body in your kayak stroke. Paddling with arms and shoulders
alone will NOT do it!
The CardioFit class does require full body paddling knowledge and application, and knowledge
of boat edging and self rescue. The classes are done on river often in reverse of the North/South
tours (we go with the current at the beginning and against the current at the end). Moreover, we
paddle in Diamond and I formations that teach and practice wake riding and drafting.
These are strategies used to conserve energy in marathon races similar to bicycle racing. We continuously
exchange positions through sprints to front of formation.
